Raisins are made by drying Grapes, in other words, raisins are dried grapes. Only grapes which are sweet are only selected for drying. In US the raisins are graded as A, B & C according to their standards. Raisins contain eight times more sugar than grapes. Raisins are rich in Vitamins, Minerals and carbohydrates.

Medicinal Benefits:

Anaemia:
Raisins are rich in iron. Hence they cure anaemia if consumed regularly.

Sexual Vigor:
Take 15 grams of raisins. Boil them with 250 ml of milk. Eat the raisins and drink the milk, three times a day. This will increase and restore the sexual vigor.

Gain Weight:
Consume raisins to gain weight. Very useful for underweight persons.

Constipation:
Soak raisins in a glassful of drinking water for 24 hours. Eat the raisins and drink the water early in the morning.

Bronchitis / Strengthen Lungs:
Raisins              : 10                              Ginger              : 1 small piece
Almond            : 10                               Honey              : 2 teaspoonful

Take raisins and almonds. Soak them in water overnight. Next day morning, remove the seeds from raisins and the rinds from almond. Now take a small piece of ginger and grind the three ingredients to make a paste form. Add two teaspoonful of honey in the mixture and lick it. This is a very good medicine to cure bronchitis and also will strengthen the lungs.
