White goosefoot is a weedy annual plant. It is also known as lamb’s quarters, melde, pigweed and Bathua. This plant is a food crop in Northern India.
The leaves and tender stems are eaten cooked and used in various dishes. It should be eaten only moderately as it contains high amount of oxalic acid.

Medicinal Uses:

* White goosefoot prevents piles if taken often as cooked.

Gout:
Take fresh leaves and make juice. Drink two cups of juice regularly to get cured.

Spleen / Liver disorder:
Make a juice of fresh tender leaves of white goosefoot. Add some water in it to make one cup of juice. Drink this regularly to get cured.

Urinary Bladder stone:
Make juice of leaves of white goosefoot. Add some water in it. Drink one cup of the juice in the morning for 15 days. After 15 days the stone will get broken and will pass through urine.
